Job Description
Role Summary:
This role will provide Human Resources support and leadership to certain Universal Entertainment Group Production teams. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources for Physical Productions, this position will act as an HR business partner to studio employees in Physical Production including Post Production and Visual Effects, as well as provide support to on-set production employees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the execution of assigned productions are aligned with our culture, standards and practices.
- Work with Production teams to identify areas of opportunity for improving the production work environment, considering the varied and unique challenges and opportunities.
- Apply creative problem solving to influence, guide and coach production partners.
- Build and cultivate relationships with internal and external teams to provide support and guidance across all regions on people related issues throughout the lifecycle of a production.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to provide guidance and recommendations around labor standards and policies on production.
- Work with our internal Employment and Fair Employment teams to address and resolve employee relations related matters on productions.
- Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner.
- Manage performance in collaboration with Legal and Labor Relations.
- Assist in identifying and strategically analyzing organizational development opportunities to ensure departments are set up to operate efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably as a manager or employee relations specialist
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
- Must be willing to travel for work related business as necessary
- Must have unrestricted ability to travel internationally

- Working knowledge of the production environment

- Comfortable dealing with complex people issues without relying on policy and procedure

- Experience of building a network of specialists and expert contacts
- Project management experience - the ability to generate an idea and see it through to completion
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
