Job Description
As a Motion Graphics Artist, you will be responsible for designing and animating graphic material for branded custom content, marketing initiatives, events, and advertising campaigns across NBCUniversalโs entire portfolio of linear, digital, and streaming properties.
Ideally, you will have a strong background in motion graphics, animation, and visual effects, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. A required willingness to collaborate and works closely with the entire creative team including writers, producers, creative directors, designers, and video editors is needed.ย To be successful, you will need in-depth, professional knowledge of the latest animation, design trends, and VFX techniques, as well as a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, accurately executing creative to meet tight deadlines. A strong technical acumen and skillset, and passion for technology are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create motion graphics and implement VFX for a variety of video deliverables, including advertising for linear, streaming, digital, and social; ad products, graphics packages, event collateral, interstitials, sizzle reels, case studies, and more.
- This position requires a strong attention to detail and expert familiarity with the following techniques:
- 2D and 3D Animation
- Motion Tracking
- Keying
- Rotoscoping
- Compositing
- Color Correcting
- Retouching
- Typography
- AI tools
- Video Editing
- Respond to feedback from the creative team and stakeholders accurately and creatively to ensure a unified vision is properly executed
- Develop and optimize motion workflows โ researching and introducing new creative techniques and capabilities
Qualifications
- 7+ years professional motion graphics experience; experience in television entertainment and advertising industries preferred
- Intimate knowledge of Adobe After Effects; Cinema 4D and Element 3D a plus
- Professional video editing capabilities required
- Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite; specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro
- Familiar with all relevant video formats and codecs
- Strong understanding of the most current design and animation trends
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and comfortable collaborating in a team environment
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week, Monday - Thursday, with flexibility to adjust as business needs dictate.
Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000
