Job Description
The Ad Sales Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for revenue projections, financial modeling, and analyses of NBCUniversal’s Broadcast Entertainment properties. This role offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the Ad Sales business by partnering closely with Sales, Planning, Research, Programming and Corporate Finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Own ad sales revenue financial models for NBC Broadcast Entertainment properties throughout all key financial forecast cycles (Budget, Upfront, Reforecasts), along with monthly pacing and weekly reporting.
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes through accurate pacing updates, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct pricing/revenue analyses around KPIs (price, ratings, volume) to understand trends and variances.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, Inventory, and Network operational teams to identify financial risks and/or opportunities for the network.
- Own and maintain Portfolio stewardship reporting.
- Provide support for revenue and ratings analyses, pricing scenarios, and other ad-hoc requests and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, preferably with a focus on revenue planning, forecasting, or audit; experience in Media is preferred but not required.
- Comprehensive understanding of and ability to interpret financial information.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Robust interpersonal skills and a team player, willing to collaborate effectively.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Aptitude to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, OnAir, and MicroStrategy a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
