Role: Project Manager
Position Type: Permanent
Location: India (Remote)
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects and engagements
- Oversees project coordinator and working on client engagements within practice.
- PM will be required to brief technicians on their scope of work prior to dispatch and ensure that the work meets scope requirements.
- PM is required to facilitate meetings with client engineering teams, regional technology managers and facility managers where risks are identified and properly managed.
- Manages the scope and mitigates risk across all projects.
- Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of activities as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction.
Project Financials
- Engagement billing where there is timely revenue recognition, ensures accurate invoicing, and monitors payables and receivables for all projects under his/her direction.
- Integrates financial data for all projects.
- Analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects.
- Addresses billing issues when they arise.
Communication
- Serves as key participant in team and client meetings.
- Confronts issues openly and quickly.
- Effectively communicates relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers in other practices.
- Tactfully communicates sensitive information.
Technical Understanding
- Must be familiar with Network Routing and Switch Environments.
- Must be familiar with copper and fiber infrastructure.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of all relevant networking technology areas.
Performance Measures
- Project delivery
- Key client satisfaction
- Key client KPI achievement
- Measures agreed and set during performance appraisal
Qualifications
- BBA/BS degree
- PMP® or Prince 2® or other professional project certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification or Six Sigma
- Cisco CCNA/CCDA, CCNP/CCDP
Skills and Experience
- 4-6 years of related experience as an IT Project Manager and/or IT Project Coordinator
- Proficient at using personal computers.
- Intermediate level of knowledge required on MS Office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project.
- Experience with JIRA Boards
- Strong knowledge of current project management methodologies
