Your role:
Assist with security monitoring and incident triage under supervision.
- Support vulnerability management activities (scanning, tracking, remediation follow-up).
- Help maintain and review security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, or compliance activities (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR support).
- Assist with access reviews, asset inventory, and basic identity management tasks.
- Support security awareness initiatives and internal communications.
- Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
- Help prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics for internal stakeholders.
What makes you stand out:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of:
- Cybersecurity fundamentals (CIA triad, common threats).
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow security best practices.
Preferred qualifications (nice to have):
- Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, cloud security).
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Coursework or labs related to security, networking, or systems.
- Personal interest in cybersecurity (CTFs, labs, certifications, home labs).
