Galileo Financial Technologies

We founded Galileo Financial Technologies, a financial technology company and SoFi’s Tech Platform, on January 23, 2001. We help fintechs, banks, and brands build and scale customer-centric financial solutions. Our cloud-native platform is developer-friendly, regulation-ready, and uses open APIs to support innovation in payments and financial services. It drives core banking, card issuing, and payment processing.

Our services include issuing physical and virtual payment cards, mobile push provisioning, and tailored financial products. The platform supports solutions for deposits, engagement channels, payments and cards (including customer support and dispute resolution), lending, and risk management. Our specific products include Cyberbank Core, a cloud-native platform for digital banking, and Cyberbank Digital, a platform for user-centric financial experiences. Other products are Card Issuing, Payment Hub, Secured Credit, and the Payment Risk Platform.

We launched our first product in 2003, entered the Canadian market in 2005, and focused on the prepaid market by 2008. In 2013, we launched the world’s largest neobank and entered the LatAm market in 2019. SoFi acquired us in 2020, and SoFi went public in 2021. In 2022, we acquired Technisys. Javelin Strategy & Research recognized us as Best-in-Class for digital issuance in their 2025 Digital Issuance Provider Scorecard. We support over 160 million accounts and process hundreds of billions in annual payment volume. We operate in 14 countries across North and Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, the United States, and Uruguay. We maintain certifications with Mastercard outside the U.S. and Visa in Canada and Mexico.
