Your rol e:
- Design and manage Kubernetes/EKS clusters - multi-tenancy, RBAC, workload isolation.
- Own node provisioning with Karpenter - spot/on-demand blending and cost optimisation.
- Drive GitOps practices with FluxCD - multi-environment promotion, drift detection.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Author and maintain Terraform modules, Helm charts and ACK controllers.
- Manage networking and traffic — Linkerd service mesh, Kong API gateway, east-west and north-south patterns.
- Define and monitor SLOs/SLIs across DataDog and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Integrate code quality and security scanning into the pipeline.
- Work with event-driven patterns across Kafka, AWS MSK and Debezium.
- Write clean, maintainable automation in Bash, Python and Groovy.
What makes you stand out:
- 5+ years in a Platform or DevOps role where you owned the outcome, not just the ticket.
- You think in platforms, not pipelines - golden paths, self-service and reducing developer toil are your default frame.
- Deep AWS experience with a track record of cloud-native systems that hold up under pressure.
- You know your way around a packet - DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, ingress, service mesh and zero-trust networking are not abstract concepts.
- You use AI naturally in your workflow — pipelines, code quality, operational automation.
- A solid enough understanding of LLMs and the AI ecosystem to make good architectural decisions as it matures.
- You’re honest about where you’re strong and curious about the rest.
