Your role:
- Act as a lead player-coach by dedicating a significant portion of your time to high-impact Tableau visualization, deep-dive analyses, and SQL development to set a high bar for the team’s technical output.
- Foster a high-velocity culture by mentoring analysts on advanced technical techniques, data storytelling, and efficient dashboard design.
- Partner closely with the Head of Analytics on sprint planning and workload management to ensure predictable, high-quality execution across the team.
- Support the growth and health of the team by participating in the hiring, onboarding, and performance development processes.
- Inherit and continuously improve upon established best practices for data modeling, documentation, and Tableau performance to ensure long-term scalability.
- Bridge the gap between raw data and business outcomes by translating complex stakeholder requests into actionable analytical roadmaps.
- Take ownership of complex, high-impact tasks while identifying risks and dependencies early to maintain delivery momentum.
- Cultivate a culture of pragmatism and accountability, balancing immediate execution with the continuous improvement of existing team processes.
What makes you stand out:
- Proven experience as a hands-on Team Lead or Senior professional with a track record of mentoring and elevating analysts.
- Expert-level proficiency in Tableau and SQL, with the ability to own complex deep-dive analyses and high-impact visualizations end-to-end.
- A strong background as a senior individual contributor who thrives on “leading from the trenches” rather than just delegating.
- Demonstrated ability to inherit existing analytics processes and evolve them for better performance and scalability.
- Experience operating in product-driven, high-velocity environments where speed and accuracy are balanced daily.
- Comfort partnering with leadership on team health, including participation in hiring, onboarding, and workload planning.
- Strong communication skills and the emotional intelligence required to translate stakeholder needs into clear technical roadmaps.
- A pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset with the ability to drive clarity in fast-moving or ambiguous contexts.
- Prior experience in fintech, crypto, banking, or similarly regulated high-growth industries.
