About the Role
AKQA is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and delivery-focused Project Manager to act as the central link between creative, technical, and client teams. This role requires a strong balance of technical understanding and creative sensibility to successfully deliver integrated marketing, digital, and technology-driven projects.
The ideal candidate will bring structure to complex creative environments while ensuring technical feasibility, timely execution, and effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scoping
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and technical specifications where required
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or MS Project
Creative & Technical Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between creative teams (designers, copywriters, production) and technical teams (developers, engineers, QA)
- Ensure seamless integration of creative assets (UI/UX, video, content, branding) into technical deliverables
Resource & Budget Management
- Effectively allocate human and technical resources
- Track project progress, monitor costs, and ensure optimal utilization
- Maintain accountability for delivery quality and timelines
Risk Management & Governance
- Identify potential risks including scope creep, technical dependencies, and capacity constraints
- Implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
Stakeholder & Client Communication
- Maintain clear and regular communication with internal stakeholders and clients
- Provide status updates, manage expectations, and facilitate structured feedback cycles
Workflow Optimization & Quality Assurance
- Apply Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate
- Ensure deliverables align with both creative briefs and technical requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in project workflows and governance standards
Qualifications & Experience
- 7–9 years of project management experience within a creative agency, digital, or technology-driven environment
- Proven experience delivering creative campaigns, mobile applications, web builds, or software projects end-to-end
- Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or MS Project
- Working knowledge of SDLC, UI/UX principles, CMS platforms, and web technologies
- Familiarity with creative production workflows including video, design, and content development

Preferred Qualifications
