We develop technologies and services for connectivity. Our main project is the Helium Network, a global wireless network. Instead of traditional cell towers, the Helium Network uses small devices called Hotspots, which individuals and businesses own and operate to provide affordable wireless coverage.
People who host these Hotspots earn HNT cryptocurrency when they help connect devices to the network. HNT is the currency of the Helium ecosystem. It’s a native, SPL-compatible token that runs on the Solana blockchain. HNT makes it possible for major telecom carriers, global enterprises, local businesses, and everyday consumers to access affordable, decentralized wireless.
The Helium Network helps fill in coverage gaps and supports wireless service. For example, an Ohio ISP uses Helium Hotspots to provide internet access to its community, and local businesses use the network for better indoor service. We also operate Helium Mobile, which offers phone plans using both the Helium Network and T-Mobile.
