Healthcare Data Subject Matter Expert SME

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate real-world healthcare and operational needs into trusted data, analytics, and reporting. In this role, you’ll work closely with program leaders, domain experts, analysts, and engineers to clarify requirements, validate integrated datasets, and ensure insights align with how the organization actually operates. You’ll help shape dashboards, reports, and data products that support operational and leadership decision-making in a complex, regulated environment, while also reviewing data outputs for accuracy, consistency, and practical relevance. This is a business-facing analytics role focused on turning integrated data into insights stakeholders can understand and use.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in data analysis, business analysis, or analytics roles within complex or regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
  • Solid SQL experience for querying, validating, and analyzing data
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, or similar)
  • Ability to translate business questions into clear data requirements and actionable insights
  • Experience validating data from a business perspective to ensure results make sense in context
  • Strong communication skills working across technical and non-technical teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in healthcare or federal data environments
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards or models (e.g., HL7, FHIR, OMOP)
  • Experience using Excel and/or Python for ad hoc analysis
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated settings

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. In alignment with federal contract requirements, certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance.
