Role Summary
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies for various software applications, ensuring quality and performance align with our standards. You will collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to verify and validate system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on project requirements
- Execute functional, regression, and performance testing of applications
- Identify, document, and track defects using relevant defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand the project requirements and provide testing feedback
- Conduct thorough reviews of testing documentation and provide guidance on best testing practices to junior team members
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and adherence to testing methodologies in all testing activities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Assist in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites
- Utilize testing tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide reports and metrics on test execution and defect status to stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and frameworks within the QA team
- Support user acceptance testing activities as needed
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience in software testing, preferably in web-based applications
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) is a plus
Excellent understanding of Agile development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Experience with SQL and database testing
Desirable:
Relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) would be an advantage
Experience in the education sector is a plus
