Senior Network Engineer (Wireless / Aruba / ISP Exposure) – Remote
Position Type: Full-Time | Independent Contractor
Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours (EST)
🚀 About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Network Engineer to work on wireless networks, routing, and infrastructure in a fast-moving environment.
This role focuses on:
- Wireless networking (Aruba or similar)
- ISP / WISP-style infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and network optimization
You’ll work on real-world network environments, supporting deployments, resolving issues, and improving performance.
What You’ll Work On
Wireless Networking (Core)
- Support and deploy enterprise wireless solutions (Aruba or similar vendors)
- Assist with coverage optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Work with controllers, access points, and cloud-managed systems
Networking & Infrastructure
Configure and troubleshoot network devices using CLI
Work with:
- TCP/IP
- VLAN
- OSPF
- BGP
Support routing, switching, and segmentation
ISP / WISP Environment (Bonus but Valuable)
Exposure to:
- Wireless links (PTP / PTMP)
- Network monitoring and uptime management
Work with vendors like:
- MikroTik
- Cisco
- Ubiquiti
Troubleshooting & Performance
- Diagnose network issues and outages
- Analyze performance and improve reliability
- Work with tools like packet capture and monitoring systems
What We’re Looking For (Flexible)
We are open to candidates who meet most (not all) of the below:
- Experience in network engineering or network support
- Exposure to wireless networking (Aruba preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with routing, switching, and basic networking concepts
- Comfortable working with CLI-based configurations
- Strong problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with Aruba wireless solutions
- Background in ISP / WISP environments
- Experience with MikroTik or Cisco devices
- RF / wireless planning exposure
- Networking certifications (any level)
