Director, Product Management (PrintOps)
Pharos | US Remote
Here’s what you’d actually be stepping into: an established product, two new markets it hasn’t reached yet, and no one left who can tell you why it behaves the way it does. Some people need that explanation handed to them. Others go dig it up themselves. This role is for the second kind.

What This Role Is
This role owns the full product loop for one of Pharos’s most established product areas: understanding how it actually works today, bringing its capabilities under control, deciding what to build and what to explicitly leave alone, and making sure Engineering and the rest of the company are working from the same understanding you are.
You’ll work directly with enterprise customers, including the conversations where the answer is no, and you’ll set direction across customer commitments, technical constraints, and two new markets at once, without letting the loudest voice in the room decide the roadmap for you.
You’ll also use AI as a normal part of how you work: discovery, synthesis, competitive research, epic drafting, documentation, not as a novelty, but as how the work actually gets done, in a fast loop with Engineering that doesn’t wait on oversized specs.
What You Will Own
- The model of how this product actually works, and keeping it current as you learn more.
- A visible roadmap where every item has a reason, an owner, and a real answer for what Pharos is and isn’t doing.
- The path from a raw signal (a support ticket, a sales request, a customer complaint) to a decision someone can act on.
- Direct conversations with enterprise customers, including the ones where the answer is no.
- The translation of product direction into work Engineering can actually build and verify against.
- Making sure Sales, Support, Customer Success, Services, and Marketing know what changed and why, not just that it changed.
What a Strong Background Looks Like
- You’ve owned a mature, complicated product, one with real history, real workarounds, and a real customer base, not just a green-field build.
- You’ve sat across the table from enterprise customers directly: discovery calls, pilots, advisory relationships, the uncomfortable ones included.
- You’ve turned a messy customer or market need into something Engineering could actually build against, and stuck around to see what happened after.
- You’ve made a complex product simpler, more consistent, or easier to reason about, not just added more to it.
- You reach for AI as a normal part of how you think through a problem, not as a novelty.

You’ve only ever built new products from a blank sheet, and haven’t lived inside a mature, tangled one.You dig until you actually understand a confusing system before you trust your own call on it.
You’re also comfortable making the next decision before that understanding is complete.
What We Offer
- Compensation: $145,000 - $150,000 base salary + Bonus
- Location: US Remote. You must live in, and be eligible to work in, the United States.
