About PIXOMONDO
Founded in 2001, we are a Sony Pictures Entertainment company specializing in Virtual Production and Visual Effects for film, episodic content, and commercials. We have won over 20 industry awards, including Oscars, BAFTAs, and Emmys, for our work with storytellers and showrunners.
Our visual effects projects include Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning Hugo, HBO’s Emmy-winning Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, Amazon’s The Boys, Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Penguin, and Woodwalkers. For virtual production, we use interactive technology and proprietary software, including LED volumes, to immerse filmmakers in virtual worlds throughout the creative process. Our LED volume work includes House of the Dragon, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender.
We provide integrated creative services for the entire production journey. These services include:

PXO Clara, our dedicated virtual production division, offers end-to-end support, from LED design, commissioning, and construction to volume networking, control operations, DMX/engine, DMZ integration, and on-set virtual production supervision. PXO Innovation brings together technologists, engineers, and creators to design and develop solutions, including patented tools and workflows. These focus on real-time technology, gaussian splatting, and advanced engineering. PXO Academy provides advanced training programs and educational curricula in real-time technologies, virtual production, and machine learning. Our current partners include Art Department Content Creation.
We operate seven studios and three LED volumes across the US, UK, Germany, and Canada. Our studio locations include London, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart.
