Job Description

As the Procurement Category Manager – Marketing, you’ll lead end-to-end marketing services procurement, creating and executing sourcing strategies that deliver value and support SEEK’s commercial goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Category Management, you’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to enhance marketing investments across creative, media, and digital services.

You’ll use your commercial acumen to influence, negotiate, and manage supplier performance, ensuring category plans meet business needs. You’ll also identify opportunities to innovate and build long-term, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.

You’ll play a key role in SEEK’s Procurement function—driving capability, building trust, and embedding best practice in marketing procurement.

This is a 12 months fixed-term contract and offers hybrid flexibility to work at Cremorne, Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage category strategies for marketing services
  • Partner with marketing and relevant teams to plan and deliver sourcing initiatives
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiation and contract management processes
  • Build supplier relationships to improve innovation and service delivery
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance
  • Manage end-to-end procurement projects within approved budget and policy
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in marketing procurement or category management
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects end-to-end
  • Knowledge of procurement frameworks, supplier management and governance
  • Commercial acumen with understanding of marketing services and contracts
  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related field
