About Projects for Peace
Projects for Peace is a global program that gives grants to young adults for student-led initiatives addressing global issues. We encourage students to develop innovative, community-centered, and scalable solutions. Each year, we award $10,000 grants to 125 or more student leaders to implement projects anywhere in the world, typically over summer break.
Founded in 2007 by Kathryn W. Davis, our program is flexible. We accept proposals from any U.S. or international student at partner institutions, regardless of age or major, for projects implemented individually or collaboratively. Since our start, we’ve funded over 2,000 projects in 139 countries.
The broader organization that supports this work operates within higher education, handling various administrative and support functions. This includes IT operations (project coordination, financial tracking, vendor management), catering (event planning and execution), international student and scholar services (front-line assistance, record management), and administrative support for leadership like the Dean of Admissions. We also provide research support, including data entry, analytics, and legal research on topics such as financial crime cases.
