We build Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) for tough, off-road industrial sites like mines and quarries. We automate haulage operations to improve safety, boost productivity, and cut operational costs.

Our AHS uses camera and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology. We believe this makes it more affordable because it doesn’t rely on expensive, delicate equipment like lidar and radar. Our system helps minimize unplanned maintenance, reduces equipment wear, and optimizes vehicle speeds to ease congestion. It also decreases idling and truck waiting times, which can increase productivity by up to 20%.

Our system also helps with workforce management. It reduces standby time and process interruptions caused by shift changes, lunch breaks, fatigue, and labor shortages, allowing workers to focus on higher-value tasks. Our systems are OEM agnostic and can be retrofitted onto existing fleets in a matter of weeks.

Pronto was founded in 2018. That same year, our system completed a coast-to-coast drive across the U.S., from San Francisco to New York City, without any driver input. Our team brings over two decades of experience in autonomous vehicle development, having worked on projects like the 2004 DARPA Grand Challenge and for companies such as John Deere, Google, Otto Trucking, and Uber Advanced Technologies Group, before focusing on off-road commercialization.

Our primary focus is safety. We take a practical, iterative, cost-effective, and pragmatic approach to deploying advanced technology to deliver safe and high-value autonomous haulage systems. Our goal is to become the world’s first profitable AV technology company.

We have a team of 11-50 employees, made up of Silicon Valley veterans who have been involved in autonomous vehicle developments for over 20 years. Their collective experience drives our relentless focus on commercializing AV technology, especially for off-road applications. We emphasize collaboration and support, working closely with client teams for deployment, training, and ongoing system support.
