Quento Technologies seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our team and help us build reliable, scalable backend services. You will work with modern Java technologies, cloud-native tools, and distributed systems.
Your responsibilities will entail:
Develop backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot;
Build and maintain REST and gRPC APIs;
Develop cloud-native applications on Azure, including deployments on AKS (Kubernetes);
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases;
Use Kafka for asynchronous messaging;
Implement caching solutions such as Redis;
Create and maintain unit tests;
Use Docker and CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying services;
Troubleshoot and improve performance of existing services;
Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
3–5+ years of experience in backend development;
Strong knowledge of Java (17+) and Spring Boot;
Experience with Azure and Kubernetes/AKS;
Good understanding of REST and gRPC;
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases;
Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems;
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
Familiarity with caching tools like Redis;
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
