The Position
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a recent Chemical or Process Engineering graduate to join our Manufacturing team. Collaborating with and mentored by the Manufacturing Manager, this position (you!) will play an essential role in a variety of engineering projects, as well as an element of production support and administrative duties to supporting Manufacturing activities across the enterprise.
While based primarily at our head office at Minto, NSW, the role will also require the successful candidate to work out of our manufacturing sites in Girraween and Wetherill Park.
Working with the manufacturing team on projects, the position will assist in creating, implementing, reviewing and supervising the project timelines.
Responsibilities include:
Researching, analysing, developing and optimising designs of existing and future process equipment – including the costing of equipment implementation and maintenance;
Developing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications;
Gathering and analysing critical data points regarding safety, environment and economic criteria, reporting and using it accordingly;
Day to day support of manufacturing operations through provision of technical information, problem solving, obtaining quotes for and sourcing equipment and services.
Creating and reviewing safe operating instructions for manufacturing work orders, and site procedures; including bill of materials, method of work, costings and waste management;
Facilitate the manufacture of new chemical products.
About You
Having recently graduated with a degree in Chemical or Process Engineering you’ll be ready to sink your teeth into a position that requires project engineering responsibilities. You are confident in your knowledge of chemistry, fluid flow and general chemical processing technologies.
An avid problem solver, you’ll be creative in your approach and critical in your thinking.
You’ll be able to easily communicate with any of our stakeholders, presenting and reporting to management, working with non-technical manufacturing staff, and liaising with suppliers.
Organisation is your middle name, you’ll be able to prioritise and organise your busy schedule.
Prior experience or internship in a project or process engineering environment will be highly regarded.
A valid drivers license, own transport, and ideally live within a reasonable driving distance to Minto, Girraween, and Wetherill Park, NSW.
