🇪🇸 Spain - Remote

Job description

Who we are:

Want to make an impact? Join our pack and come work (and play!) with us.

We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. Founded in 2011, the Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. We empower our community of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to run their own pet care businesses on Rover with the tools and security of a global company to back them.

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, we work closely with our teams in Barcelona, San Antonio, Spokane, and remote locations. We’ve got a reputation for being a great place to work, having been named among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Seattle Business Magazine and Washington’s Best Workplaces in the Puget Sound Business Journal. We’re an agile, fast-growing company, and our leadership comes from some of the world’s most respected tech companies.

At Rover, our furry coworkers are just as important as our human ones—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Along with making the joys of pet parenthood more accessible, we’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community of pet people—and that starts with our employees.

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of marketplace economics, monetization innovation and pricing strategy. You are a strategic thinker with deep marketplace experience, someone who understands the levers that drive supply-side success and is passionate about building sustainable, high-impact monetization models and value proposition for Rover providers.

In this role, you will lead the development of alternative monetization, provider value added, and pricing strategies that strengthen the value proposition for our providers and unlock new revenue streams for Rover. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, operations, and finance to craft pricing systems, financial incentives, and monetization features that balance marketplace health with long-term revenue growth.

The ideal candidate for this role brings a data-driven mindset, business acumen, customer centricity, and a builder’s curiosity, with a proven ability to translate economic principles into impactful product experiences.

This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Barcelona Office in the Poblenou neighborhood two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

Qualified candidates will ideally need experience across five key themes:

  • Alternative monetization expertise: Experience identifying and launching new monetization avenues, such as paid premium features, subscription models, tiered services, or monetization of SaaS tooling, that enhance provider success while expanding company revenue.
  • Marketplace pricing expertise: Experience and deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and pricing models. You can design, test, and scale pricing strategies that align incentives, improve liquidity, and drive sustainable growth on both sides of the marketplace.
  • Data-driven, customer focused decision making: You are fluent in both quantitative and qualitative insights. You leverage data to uncover opportunity areas, measure elasticity, and evaluate the impact of pricing and monetization tests. At the same time, you build rich customer narratives grounded in qualitative research. You seamlessly balance analytical rigor with customer narratives, translating both numbers and stories into clear marketplace strategies and actionable execution plans.
  • Cross-functional leadership: You excel at bringing together product, engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and finance to define and deliver monetization initiatives. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate effectively across disciplines, and ensure alignment toward shared goals.
  • Execution and iteration mindset: You combine strategic vision with operational excellence. You are able to launch MVPs, measure impact rigorously, and iterate rapidly. You maintain a balance between experimentation speed and quantitative and financial rigor. You also know how to scale products once hypotheses are proven.

Plus we are looking for these characteristics:

  • You have a true passion for Rover’s mission and values - and are highly motivated by the responsibility to continuously improve our provider experience and increase revenue growth
  • You have an unlimited curiosity, always probing for the “why” behind user behavior, market shifts, and emerging technologies
  • You know how to leverage qualitative and quantitative data to solve for ambiguous problems, make decisions and drive growth
  • Above all, you seek the truth. You know your market, customers and competition better than anyone, and you excel at integrating this information into your decisions and tactics
  • You can go get the information you need to validate your hypotheses and can synthesize it into what to do next
  • You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
  • You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery and bring your cross-functional partners along with you.

Your Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on product experience. Experience in fast-paced environments is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities
  • Very comfortable with SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Periscope, or other data visualization tools.
  • Experience with multivariate product experimentation frameworks.
  • Experience leading teams through challenging prioritization decisions, creating clear and transparent frameworks that lead to well defined and impactful roadmaps
  • Proven ability to motivate teams to produce quality outcomes within challenging timeframes and ongoing change
  • BS/MS/MBA in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with remote stakeholders, specially engineering, design and data.

Benefits of Working at Rover.com:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Long-term incentive plan with a company performance-based cash payout
  • Permanent contract
  • Pension plan
  • Meal tickets through Cobee
  • Generous PTO allowance
  • Private health insurance
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Bring your dog to work (and unlimited puppy time)
  • Monetary help for adopting a dog or cat plus yearly credit to use on our platform
  • A wide variety of snacks, fresh fruit, and beverages in our kitchen to keep yourself going
  • Regular team activities, including happy hours, game nights, and more
