We were founded in 2016 to develop software. We develop reliable AI systems by providing high-quality data and full-stack technologies. We help enterprises and governments build, deploy, and oversee AI applications.

Our offerings include the Scale Generative AI Platform, which lets customers build, evaluate, and control advanced AI agents and applications. We also offer the Scale Data Engine for collecting, curating, and annotating high-quality datasets. Our Safety, Evaluations, and Alignment Lab (SEAL) tests models with benchmarks and research to ensure system reliability.

We power advanced LLMs and generative models using RLHF, data generation, and model evaluation. Our clients include Meta, Cisco, DLA Piper, Mayo Clinic, Time Inc., the Government of Qatar, and U.S. government agencies like the Army and Air Force, as well as AI labs and Fortune 500 companies.

We specialize in computer vision, data annotation, sensor fusion, machine learning, autonomous driving, APIs, ground truth data, training data, deep learning, robotics, drones, NLP, and document processing.

Scale AI has 501-1000 employees. The work environment is fast-paced and high-growth, emphasizing autonomy, cross-team collaboration, and asynchronous collaboration. Many roles support remote work with company equipment provided. Other positions are hybrid (e.g., in San Francisco or New York) or largely onsite, particularly for specific customer engagements in locations like Washington D.C.

Salary ranges are disclosed for location-based roles. We also provide growth opportunities to transition into leadership or specialized technical roles.
