Job Description
The Commercial Support Specialist - EMEA (m, f, d) plays a key role in enabling the Commercial organization across the EMEA region. This position provides comprehensive operational, analytical, and organizational support, with a strong focus on internal and external event coordination, sales reporting and dashboards, and acting as a primary interface between the field organization and internal stakeholders.
The role requires strong organizational skills, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a dynamic international environment.
Commercial & Event Support
- Plan, organize, and execute internal commercial meetings (e.g. annual kick‑off meetings), including venue selection, vendor negotiation, budget tracking, and end‑to‑end logistics.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams in organizing external customer workshops and events, including coordination of travel and related logistics.
- Act as a key point of contact for the field sales organization, facilitating communication and coordination with internal departments.
Reporting & Process Excellence
- Develop, prepare, and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports and KPI dashboards for Commercial Leadership and the wider Commercial organization, in close collaboration with Finance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows within the Commercial function and support implementation in collaboration with Commercial Leadership.
Sales Team & Office Support
Provide day‑to‑day operational support to the Sales organization, including but not limited to:
- Organizing and maintaining sales demo kits and any other equipment needed by the salesforce.
- Supporting hiring managers with onboarding schedules within the Sales department.
- Assisting with travel agency coordination and travel process inquiries, being the main contact towards the external travel agency.
- Supervise and provide backup support to the part‑time receptionist, including responsibility for office management tasks and coordination of internal office events.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Commercial education, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3–5 years of experience in Sales Support, Marketing Support, or a comparable administrative role, preferably within an international or multinational environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Proactive, hands‑on mindset with a positive and solution‑oriented attitude.
- Experience working cross‑functionally or a strong willingness to do so.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (essential).
- Additional language skills such as French, Italian, or Spanish are a plus.
Location
This is an onsite role in the EMEA Headquarters Office in Bonn with opportunity for some hybrid flex work after the probation period – minimum 3 days in the office required.
