Job description

SMX is seeking accomplished Senior Associates for developing, customizing, and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite applications. Tasks will include writing PL/SQL scripts, configuring modules, and troubleshooting issues. Key responsibilities include supporting business processes, ensuring system functionality meets client requirements, collaborating with functional teams, and performing tasks related to data migration and integrations. The role requires technical skills like SQL and PL/SQL, along with a solid understanding of Oracle EBS modules and business requirements. This is a hybrid role supporting a Lackland, TX program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Development and customization: Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using tools like PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
  • System support and maintenance: Provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Configuration: Assist in configuring Oracle EBS modules to meet business needs, including setting up items like account setups, payment terms, and tax codes.
  • Integration and data management: Develop and manage interfaces between Oracle EBS and other systems, perform data migration, and optimize system performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with functional teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure solutions align with business goals, and provide user training.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations and customizations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, along with experience in Oracle EBS development tools and a strong understanding of the EBS application architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues.
  • A good grasp of business processes, especially in areas like financials (AP, AR, GL) or other functional modules.
  • Experience with data integrity, system optimization, and working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 yearsโ€™ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.
  • Experience in three of the following four focus areas:
  • Oracle Cloud development and Oracle APEX experience.
  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12 experience.
  • Line of accounting (LOA) implementation experience.
  • Oracle EBS core financial accounting knowledge with a concentration in Projects Management, Cash Management, and Treasury Management modules experience to include financial accounting experience for transition of legacy financial statements and interrelated data functionality from legacy system to the modules
  • Contracting LifeCycle Management (CLM), Procurement, iSupplier (or similar product), and Purchasing modules experience.
  • Public Trust clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.

$87,600โ€”$146,000 USD
