Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer with a strong interest in React and Next.js to join our frontend team and contribute to ambitious, real‑world digital projects.
As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will be part of a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team working on modern web applications for large‑scale clients.
Supported by experienced frontend engineers, you will progressively grow your skills while contributing to high‑quality, maintainable, and user‑centric interfaces.
What you will do
- Develop frontend features using React and frontend frameworks (like Next.js).
- Build reusable UI components following design systems and UX guidelines.
- Integrate frontend applications with APIs (REST or GraphQL).
- Participate in code reviews and learn SQLI’s development standards and best practices.
- Fix bugs and improve existing components and features.
- Learn about performance, SEO, and accessibility in modern React/Next.js applications.
- Gradually take ownership of well‑scoped features with growing autonomy.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- A first professional experience (job, internship, apprenticeship) or strong personal projects in frontend development.
- Solid foundations in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including experience with SASS/SCSS or modern CSS architectures.
- Initial hands‑on experience with React (components, hooks, basic state management).
- Basic understanding of Next.js principles (routing, pages, rendering basics) would be a plus.
- Good understanding of responsive and user‑focused design.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Curiosity, motivation to learn, and team spirit.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Basic knowledge of SSR / SSG concepts in Next.js.
- Familiarity with collaborative workflows involving CI/CD pipelines, code quality checks, and automated testing.
- Awareness of web accessibility fundamentals.
- Interest in performance optimization and modern frontend tooling.
