We develop a secure, distributed operating system that helps customers manage their data and build programmable, autonomous edge systems. The “edge” is where digital systems interact with the real world, involving components like chips, memory, and networking interfaces that create a distributed computing platform. Our goal is to move beyond just data insights to enable autonomous actions directly at the edge.

Our technology is deployed in demanding environments. We focus on integrating programming advancements into critical infrastructure, smart grids, supply chains, and manufacturing systems. This allows for rapid, adaptive, and cost-effective changes. We also work on federal defense contracts, including OTAs and non-traditional vendor projects, to support national security. We use technologies like Terraform for provisioning and maintain compliance with standards such as NIST and STIG.

Swoop Search has 11-50 employees and offers a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment. Employees collaborate with teams like legal, proposal, accounting, business operations, program, and engineering, as well as with client engineers. Many roles are hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in the office at locations such as the Washington D.C. metro area or Minneapolis/St. Paul. The D.C. office environment combines technical expertise with regulatory and contractual knowledge, especially for government contract roles.
