Job Description
A leading international organization in the financial services sector is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to take ownership of a critical production application within the payments domain.
This is a strategic role requiring a strong mix of technical leadership, project management, operational oversight, and systems analysis in a complex and high-impact environment.
As a Senior Technical Lead, you will:
- Own and manage the demand pipeline, including both enhancements and corrective changes
- Oversee production incidents, operational risks, and critical issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Lead and coordinate technical teams, challenging solutions and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Define, validate, and drive functional and technical solution design
- Perform end-to-end systems analysis across processes, integrations, and dependencies
- Collaborate closely with business users, stakeholders, and external vendors
- Drive the continuous evolution of the application, focusing on quality, stability, and scalability
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Technical Lead or senior technical role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or related field
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in project management within complex IT environments
- Strong expertise in demand management and prioritization
- Hands-on development experience with:
- Java
- Spring / Spring Boot
- Microservices
- Flink
- Hazelcast
- Schema Registry
- Experience in a technical leadership role
- Strong skills in systems analysis
- Good knowledge of payments, SWIFT, and liquidity management
- Ability to work effectively in complex, high-pressure, and high-visibility environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, problem-solving, and results-oriented mindset
- Strong team player with leadership capabilities
