Europe GL and AP Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations and oversee the month-end close for our UK and European. subsidiaries. This role is a hybrid of full-cycle AP management and international entity accounting. You will ensure that all financial obligations are met through Tipalti while driving compliance through VAT filings, intercompany allocations, and statutory audit support.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Full-Cycle P2P & Expense Management
- Automated AP: Execute end-to-end AP for international entities, including coding, PO matching, and payment execution (ACH/Wire) via Tipalti.
- Global Expenses: Lead the employee expense reimbursement process and conduct corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Vendor Master Data: Maintain high-integrity vendor records, including W-9/W-8 collection and annual 1099 filings.
Month-End Close
- Accruals & Adjustments: Manage the close for UK and European entities, including posting PTO/Bonus accruals, and SBC (Stock-Based Compensation) entries.
- Amortisation & Depreciation: Own the schedules for Prepaids and Fixed Assets, running monthly amortisation and depreciation entries.
- Flux Analysis: Conduct monthly and quarterly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis.
Compliance, Tax, & Intercompany
- UK VAT Reporting: Lead the quarterly UK VAT reporting and filing; manage monthly tax accruals and VAT adjustments for both entities
- Intercompany Operations: Post internal allocations and manage the transfer pricing billing/invoicing process between entities.
- Audit Lead: Serve as the primary contact for the UK and European yearly audits, providing all supporting schedules and documentation.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Hands on of experience in GL or AP accounting, with specific exposure to multi-entity or international accounting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with international compliance (VAT, Transfer Pricing).
- Hands-on experience with Tipalti and ERP systems like NetSuite or Intacct.
- Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions) for complex flux analysis and reconciliation.
- Full working proficiency in English with the ability to act as a “Vendor Diplomat” and collaborate with cross-border internal teams.
