Trueline is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Detroit-area team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-stakes matters—including automobile negligence, transportation claims, and premises liability—while benefiting from a collegial, supportive environment and meaningful mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney:

  • Manage your own litigation caseload from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and court appearances
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver exceptional legal outcomes
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
  • Interact with clients, experts, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of the case
  • Participate in mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Contribute to a hybrid work model with flexibility for both remote and in-office collaboration

Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

  • Active license to practice law in Michigan
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, particularly in first- and third-party automobile negligence (including PIP and no-fault claims)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and complex case files
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to high-quality work
  • Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

  • Experience with federal court procedures
  • Exposure to alternative dispute resolution forums
  • Background in transportation or trucking litigation
