Job Description
A growing construction services provider focused on commercial projects, is seeking a Commercial Business Manager / Estimator to join their team. This hybrid role combines sales, estimating, and project oversight, offering the opportunity to directly impact revenue growth while managing projects from concept through completion.
What You’ll Do as the Commercial Business Manager / Estimator:
- Develop new business through outreach, networking, and lead generation
- Build and maintain client relationships from initial engagement through project closeout
- Prepare estimates, bids, and proposals using takeoff and estimating tools
- Participate in project scoping, budgeting, and preconstruction planning
- Manage awarded projects, including financial tracking and profitability
- Review contracts, handle change orders, and ensure successful project execution
- Collaborate with field teams to support installation and resolve job site challenges
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging product solutions
Must-Haves as the Commercial Business Manager / Estimator:
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales, estimating, project management, or a related field
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including cost estimation and revenue tracking
- Experience with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or similar tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter mindset with a strong drive to achieve results
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening
Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Business Manager / Estimator:
- Experience in commercial construction or specialty trades such as framing, insulation, or waterproofing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
