Job description
Turf Masters Brands (TMB)is looking for a Payroll Specialist to process payroll, assist with compliance registrations and reconciliations, and other related tasks for the TMB platform of companies. This is a full-time, hybrid job opportunity in Roswell, Georgia.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Organize, input, and process weekly payroll using HRISadmin system (UKG Software) to ensure accurate and timely processing of full cycle payroll.
- Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records. Process employee and company updates (compensation, job titles, departments etc.)
- Responsible for weekly payroll balancing and produce weekly, monthly and year-end payroll and tax reports
- Reconcile benefits, 401(k) and general ledger accounts relative to payroll
- Compute wages, commissions, and deductions
- Process terminations and other out-of-cycle payments
- Ensure compliance with both internal payroll and HR policies
- Perform employment verifications
- Routinely assisting with matters of highly sensitive and/or confidential nature, while maintaining discretion
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns
- Process and monitorwage garnishment orders
Qualification and Skills
- Minimum of 3years of experience in a relevant payroll position
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills – an active listener that expresses ideas and thoughts effectively.
- Detail oriented – accurately checks processes and tasks, discovers and corrects errors.
- Quick learner that grasps concepts and processes easily and understands how they affect each other.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment,
- while integrating a high detail of attention to detail, focus and organization
- Track record of success supporting more than one person.
