Ubiminds is assisting a global company, specializes in engineering, selling, and servicing industrial process controls, including control valves, regulators, automated on/off valves, steam conditioning equipment, gas regulators, and related accessories, parts, and traps.
Challenge
We are looking for a Senior MES Engineer (TraKsys) to lead end-to-end MES implementations, including configuration, data modeling, and system integration across industrial environments.
The role involves integrating TraKsys with PLCs, SCADA, and ERP systems while collaborating with LATAM and US teams to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead and participate in the full life cycle of MES implementation projects, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and go‑live support.
Architect TraKsys modules such as:
Data Collection
OEE and Downtime Tracking
Quality and SPC
Production & Order Tracking
Traceability and genealogy
Develop data models, event logic, workflows, and calculations aligned with ISA‑95 and customer-specific production processes.
Configuration & Application Development
Configure TraKsys data connectors, resource hierarchies, process models, and business rules.
Build dashboards, visualizations, and operator displays that provide meaningful real‑time insights.
Develop custom logic, scripts, or interfaces using SQL, .NET, or other supported tools.
Ensure data accuracy, system stability, and high performance across MES deployments.
Integration with OT/IT Systems
Integrate TraKsys with:
PLCs, SCADA, and OPC servers (OPC DA/UA)
Data historians (OSIsoft PI, FactoryTalk Historian)
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Plant networks and cybersecurity standards
Troubleshoot communication paths and ensure robust data flow across production environments.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with TraKsys MES configuration and deployment (preferred 3+ years).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, OEE, KPIs, downtime categorization, and ISA‑95 structures.
Proficiency with SQL Server, including writing queries, debugging stored procedures, and understanding schema relationships.
Understanding of PLCs, OPC communications, SCADA/HMI interfaces, or other automation technologies.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system interactions across OT/IT systems.
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with plant operators, engineers, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in process industries such as food & beverage, chemical, life sciences, or specialty manufacturing.
Familiarity with Python, C#, .NET, or script-based customization.
Experience integrating MES with ERP systems.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in industrial environments.
Prior experience delivering engineering services or consulting solutions.
Behavioral profile

Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
Strong documentation habits and commitment to quality.
Willingness to travel to customer sites (up to 30% depending on project demands).
