Role Overview 🚀
At Uncapped, we help ambitious founders realise their dreams. We are seeking a highly motivated Junior KYC Analyst to join the Services Team to help our customers to cross the finish line after applying for our product. You will be responsible for processing due diligence cases in order to optimise customer experience and minimise risk exposure. You’ll work closely with your colleagues in Product, Operations and Risk to create processes that can help us scale at pace whilst maintaining high standards of service.

About the Operations Team 🔎
We are responsible for being the main customer point of contact during their journey at Uncapped. Our talks are about all the different subjects! You will learn about how different businesses operate around the countries we support in the many lines of business. A normal day in this team will never be a boring one! There is always something different happening, and we need to think how we will tackle this keeping the customer’s best interest in mind.
What you will do ✍️
- Onboarding customers based on our internal policies and procedures, including UBO identification, and evaluation Sanctions, PEPs, and Adverse Media alerts
- Perform enhanced due diligence reviews on business customers and their owners, ensuring a seamless, low-friction onboarding experience.
- Generate and maintain appropriate case documentation
- Escalate any issues or complex cases and ensure their resolution
- Other ad-hoc business due diligence-related tasks
- Identify bottlenecks in the onboarding flow and suggest automation or workflow improvements to drive efficiencies across the flow
Who you are 👀
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in KYC or similar roles
- Previous experience in a fintech or fast pace environment is a must
- Experience in processing KYC and EDD cases for UK/EU commercial lending or banking customers
- Someone who is able to spot inconsistencies in financial documents or company filings that others might miss
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience with Hubspot CRM
- Bachelor’s level degree or professional qualification
- Good oral and written communication skills required
- Fluency in verbal and written English is required.
- Experience using JIRA and SQL is a plus
