You are an accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for managing project financials. You thrive in collaborative environments, balancing multiple responsibilities with precision. Your ability to navigate complex financial data and work across diverse teams will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects.
What you’re responsible for:
Collaborate with regional office teams, including project managers, designers, superintendents, and assistant project managers, to ensure seamless financial management.
Prepare and submit project billings promptly, maintaining accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
Manage project job cost accounting, including owner billings, payment collection, and subcontractor compliance.
Monitor past-due collections, providing updates to management and supporting timely resolution.
Identify reimbursable client billings and ensure compliance with individual client requirements.
Lead the closing process for projects in the accounting system, ensuring accurate reporting.
Support strategic planning and forecasting of project financials.
Transition costs from potential projects to active ones, ensuring accurate accounting records.
Prepare and file sales tax submissions accurately and on time.
Manage and report on cash flow, contributing to effective financial planning.
Assist in project audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any discrepancies.
Support project accounts payable and compliance tasks as needed.
Review and summarize owner contracts, identifying and implementing accounting requirements.
Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and additional duties as assigned.
You’re skills & experience:
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on project financials.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent work experience.
CPA Preferred
Proven expertise in project accounting; experience in the construction industry is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Experience with ERP software is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues.
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Demonstrated success as a team player with a willingness to support cross-functional teams.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Notary certification or a willingness to become a notary is required.

Base Pay Range
$100,000—$133,000 USD
