You’ll oversee contract lifecycles, support escalations, and provide commercial insights that help ensure Vector meets its customer and retailer obligations in a complex regulatory and operational environment.
You’ll also gain broad exposure across regulatory, operational and commercial workstreams, sitting at the heart of New Zealand’s energy transition. This role offers interesting, impactful work with visible influence. It’s especially attractive for commercially-minded professionals – including those from financial, legal, or professional services backgrounds – seeking to step into a dynamic corporate environment with an excellent work-life balance.
Who are we looking for?
- Existing commercial, customer relationship or legal experience, ideally within a large or complex organisation, including working with commercial contracts or managing contract lifecycles
- Strong relationship management abilities and confidence distilling complex commercial or technical concepts for varied audiences
- A proactive, growth‑oriented mindset with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and learning on the job, including legacy technology or technical customer scenarios.
Why Vector?

- Enhance your wellbeing, protect your future and empower your personal and professional growth through our extensive benefits package
- Supercharge your career through internal opportunities, own your own development plan and drive your learning and growth
- Join a company embracing innovation and collaborating with leading names worldwide to develop and adopt cutting-edge technologies, like X The Moonshot Factory
- We value diverse perspectives, which drive innovation and creativity. We encourage everyone to bring their full selves to work, embracing ideas that challenge and inspire
- Build a legacy doing work that matters – we’re keeping the lights on across Auckland, and driving a sustainable energy future for New Zealand.
