We started Verkada in 2016 to develop physical security solutions. Our single cloud-based software platform, Verkada Command, integrates all our products: cloud-managed security cameras, access control, sensors, alarms, intercoms, and workplace tools.

Our platform uses AI for features like rapid footage search, AI-generated talk-down messages to deter activity, immediate alerts for concerning activity, hands-free facial authentication for door access, and natural language search for calls.

Verkada Command is a plug-and-play system that offers security, privacy, and ²⁴⁄₇ support. It stores data on devices and in the cloud, automatically updates its firmware and software, and integrates with existing cameras, alarm sensors, and door hardware.

We work with over 30,000 organizations worldwide, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, across sectors like retail, manufacturing, K-12 education, healthcare, and law enforcement. We are a software development company specializing in IoT, computer vision, and VMS. As of November 2025, we have 15 offices globally.

Our mission is to protect people and places while respecting privacy. We aim to become the operating system for the world’s safest, most efficient buildings.
