Overview
As a Senior Product Manager at Very Good Ventures, you will be responsible for providing clarity, guardrails, and requirements for the work we do with our diverse array of clients. You will help guide our clients and internal teams through various frameworks and methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, prioritize product requirements, and lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, all while aligning with our clients’ business goals. We are looking for a self-motivated and influential individual who can operate with a high degree of autonomy while working effectively with our world-class engineers.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be an integral part of our organization, shaping and defining the success of the product management discipline. This position requires a flexible mindset, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of business, design, and technology.
Responsibilities
- The ability to autonomously develop, define, and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with overall business objectives, considering market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Elicit and document product requirements.
- Collaborate with your team to create a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining key milestones, releases, and dependencies to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prioritize product features and requirements using established frameworks and tools.
- Document product features in user stories.
- Lead and participate in Sprint ceremonies.
- Define product success metrics and conduct data-informed feature optimization and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project strategy and execution.
- Utilize Agile methodologies in your work.
- Champion a user-centric approach, ensuring the design and functionality of projects contribute to a positive user experience.
Success Metrics
- Successful completion of scoped work and functionality.
- Successful program resolution.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of direct product management experience.
- Extensive experience in building products across diverse industries.
- Proven zero to one product launch experience.
- Technical literacy in software development concepts and familiarity with modern frameworks (Flutter, React Native, JavaScript) to facilitate productive engineering partnerships
- Solid experience with Agile methodologies and common product management tools like JIRA, Asana, Monday.com, and GitHub.
- Ability to manage discussions concerning API endpoints and SDK integration
- Ability to lead clients confidently and autonomously.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Heap, and Mixpanel
- Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to improve processes and reporting
- Resume must be in English
Nice to Have
- Ability to conduct research and create user personas
- Previous experience with projects involving Flutter
- Previous client-facing agency or consulting experience
