Job Description
We are currently looking for an Entry-Level Business Analyst for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is part of our EZLabs team, focused on innovation, rapid prototyping, and delivering high-impact digital solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.
The ideal candidate is a motivated early-career professional who is eager to learn, analyze business needs, and support the delivery of user-centered software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and stakeholders, to help translate business requirements into actionable insights.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and refining business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Support the creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows under guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Help maintain and organize the product backlog in collaboration with product owners and senior analysts.
- Analyze basic business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support testing activities, including validating that delivered features meet business requirements.
- Create and maintain clear documentation to support development and knowledge sharing.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, academic projects, or relevant training programs accepted).
- Basic understanding of Business Analysis concepts (requirements gathering, user stories, SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or SAFe preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to document processes, workflows, and requirements clearly and concisely.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Additional Qualifications:
- Exposure to healthcare or government projects is a plus.
- Internship or academic experience working on software or data-related projects.
- Familiarity with basic data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
