šŸš€ About the Team

You will join the Partnerships Control team, which plays a critical role for:

  • OurĀ policyholders, by ensuring that partners deliver reliable, high-quality service.
  • OurĀ regulators in France and across Europe, by demonstrating robust oversight of delegated activities.

Controls cover distribution and management of insurance products, risk identification and assessment, and regulatory compliance (e.g. AM, IDD, GDPR).

To support a temporary reinforcement of our perimeter, we are looking for a Partnership Controller (6-month fixed-term contract) with strong expertise in claims management and compliance. You will report to the Partnership Control Team Lead and work closely with operational teams, Compliance, Legal, and external partners.


šŸŽÆĀ Your Mission

As a Partnership Controller, your mission is to assess and challenge how our partners manage delegated insurance activities. You will ensure they:

  • Deliver aĀ high standard of serviceĀ to our policyholders, particularly inĀ claims handling.
  • Operate within aĀ robust risk and compliance framework.
  • Align withĀ Wakam’s expectations, procedures, and regulatory obligations.

You will be involved in the control cycle from preparation to follow-up.

šŸ“† Your Day-to-Day

Prepare and Organise Controls

  • Organise controls in line with the annualĀ control plan
  • Lead theĀ preparation phase: contractual review, claims portfolio analysis, definition of control scope and objectives.
  • CoordinateĀ round-table meetings with internal stakeholdersĀ (Claims, Operations, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to identify risks and to collect expectations,and feedback on the partner.

Conduct Controls (Remote)

  • Perform controls with partners.
  • Assess theĀ operational handling framework: processes, timelines, customer communication and complaint management…
  • Carry outĀ sample reviews and quality checksĀ on files, focusing on accuracy, consistency, and regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Test theĀ end-to-end customer journey.

Analyse, Recommend and Follow Up

  • IdentifyĀ issues, weaknesses, and risksĀ (operational, compliance, conduct, financial).
  • Draft clearĀ findings and recommendations, and define aĀ corrective action planĀ with the partner.
  • Monitor theĀ implementation and effectiveness of action plansĀ and ensure timely closure of issues.

Contribute to Methodology & Continuous Improvement

  • Suggest improvements toĀ control tools, templates, and procedures.
  • Contribute to cross-functional discussions onĀ risk and compliance topicsĀ impacting the perimeter.

🧠 What You Bring

  • AĀ postgraduate degreeĀ with a specialisation in insurance, risk, audit, or internal control.
  • ideally 3–5 years of experienceĀ in claims management — within an insurer, MGA, or claims management company
  • Good knowledge (or appetite for) in audit and/or control activities and/or risk management.
  • A basic understanding ofĀ regulatory and compliance requirementsĀ applicable to insurance distribution and claims (AM, IDD, GDPR) is a plus.
  • Strong command ofĀ Word and Excel.
  • Fluency in English and French; any other language is a plus.
