WorkOS, founded in 2019 by Michael Grinich, is an API platform that simplifies adding enterprise features to SaaS products. We help software companies become enterprise-ready so they can close larger deals. We serve software developers and operate with a team of 51-200 employees. We raised $15 million in Series A funding in 2021 and $80 million in Series B in 2022. We also achieved carbon-neutral status in 2021.

We provide a suite of developer APIs and SDKs to help you add enterprise functionality:

• Our Enterprise SSO supports any SAML or OIDC identity provider and offers complete user and organization management, policy setting, and social authentication (Microsoft, Google). We also provide AuthKit for flexible authentication UI, Magic Auth for passwordless sign-in, and Multi-Factor Authentication. It integrates with providers like Okta, Azure AD, Google, OneLogin, ADFS, PingIdentity, OpenID, and DUO.
• Directory Sync facilitates user lifecycle management through SCIM provisioning (with Okta, Entra ID, ADFS) and HRIS integrations (with Bamboo, Rippling).
• Audit Logs allow you to store, query, and export audit data.
• Authorization helps you build reliable, high-throughput authorization systems. We design scalable APIs, model complex authorization relationships, and enforce consistent permissions across multi-tenant applications. Features include delegated administration, advanced auditability, and policy versioning.
• Vault is our product for encryption key management and secret storage. It supports real-time encryption, secure storage, key rotation, and data revocation. Features include audit logs and cryptographic deletion, with expertise in EKM, envelope encryption, BYOK, and context-based key isolation.
• Radar is an identity intelligence platform designed to help developers detect risk, prevent threats, and protect applications. We build systems for real-time identity event processing and create intuitive APIs.

We emphasize a developer-first design with a unified platform, modern RESTful APIs, JSON responses, and normalized objects. We provide real-time updates via webhook events and modern SDKs for languages including Node.js, Ruby, Python, .NET, Go, PHP, Java, and cURL. We offer multiple environments and support over 20 enterprise services through a single integration point. We also provide an Admin Portal, a hosted interface for IT administrators to independently configure SSO and directory integrations, which can be customized and hosted on a custom domain.

Our team of 51-200 employees includes dedicated teams in Design, Engineering (including teams like Vault and Radar), Go-to-Market (GTM), and People. Engineers are encouraged to mentor and contribute to product roadmaps.
