Workstate is hiring a Senior Backend Developer! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend systems that drive our applications and services. If you are an experienced developer passionate about building scalable backend solutions and delivering high-quality code, you’ll be a great fit for our team.
We are looking for someone who can engage with and motivate our clients while diving deeply into backend development and envisioning future enhancements. Our consultants are quick on their feet and committed to driving quality results for our clients.
Residents of Colombia with the right to work in that country are eligible for this role.
The ideal candidate will typically have 5-7 years of professional experience and have demonstrated many of the following skills:
- A track record as a technical leader with teamwide impact.
- 4+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, and high-performance search applications.
- 4+ years of programming experience in languages such as Java, Python, and Go
- Experience designing and extending large-scale search systems, including RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, data ingestion methods, and search methodologies.
- Experience in fine-tuning performance and using data to optimize end-to-end latency and system behavior.
- Understanding and adherence to industry-standard best practices in software development and architecture.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, EKS, S3, Redis, Lambda, and MSK.
