Database Cloud Administrator (United States Geological Survey)
Foundations, building blocks, secure structures remain integral to accessing actionable data that is at the core of reliable geospatial products and user support that contribute to the enhancement of The National Map.
As a Database Cloud Administrator, you will be joining XTS’s highly capable and collaborative Digital Services team supporting the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and their system architecture development reinforcement. In this role, you will be leveraging your expertise in cloud architecture database management, offer guidance within underlying databases and software, and applying your working knowledge of scripting languages all in support of vital mission requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on proficiency in AWS RDS and PostgreSQL
- PGAdmin experience is also desired
- Familiarity with working in CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of Geodatabases design and administration
