Founded in 1989, we provide route planning and optimization software. Our software is used in waste collection, public works, postal and local delivery, utilities, field service, and newspaper delivery.

With over 40 years of experience in operations research and analytics, we offer tools that help clients worldwide reduce costs, improve safety, and run operations more efficiently. Our main products include RouteSmart Online, RouteSmart for ArcGIS Pro, RouteSmart Routing as a Service (RaaS), RouteSourcing, and the in-cab device SmartSuite Mobile & Web.

Our technology uses AI and machine learning, and we continually invest in research and development. By optimizing routes, our solutions help reduce fuel use and carbon emissions.

We are headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, and serve clients in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Our clients have seen significant results: one newspaper distribution network cut route count by 48%, mileage by 16%, and delivery fees by 6%. A local delivery client saved $170,000 annually. Utility clients increased daily reads tenfold, and other newspaper clients achieved a 16% reduction in daily mileage. Waste collection and public works clients also noted a 5% efficiency improvement over 16 years of partnership.

Our work environment is flexible, and we have a casual dress code. Many technical roles, such as Cloud Engineer, Database Administrator, DevOps Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer, offer a hybrid work model, with some onsite presence required in Melville, NY, or Columbia, MD. Remote options are available for residents in specific states. A Senior Product Manager role also offers hybrid or remote work options.
