We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, operate, and continuously improve our Snowflake-based data warehouse and data services. You will deliver reliable, well-modeled datasets and simple, scalable APIs that power analytics, dashboards, and downstream applications. You will work closely with analysts (your primary stakeholders) and PD&T partners to translate business needs into robust, production-grade data products.

Application platform: PostgreSQL, Ruby, SalesForce.

Project/Process management: JIRA, Miro, Figma

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data modeling: deliver clean layers (raw → cdm → DM); keep definitions consistent with metric owners.
  • Multi‑region data warehouse (N+1 architecture): seamlessly onboard new regional platforms (ERP + database) into a unified layered model (raw → cdm → DM) so dashboards and analytics work across regions out of the box.
  • APIs & integrations: build/maintain simple data services and endpoints; consume external APIs as needed.
  • Data quality: add checks, reconcile sources, and resolve data defects; protect PII.
  • Looker support: assist with model changes driven by DWH updates; keep explores performant and accurate.
  • Ops hygiene: version control, code reviews, alerting, cost‑aware design; collaborate with DevOps.
  • Ways of working: start with “why,” simplify, and treat the data platform as a product.

Examples of problems to be solved:

  • Multi‑region N+1 ingestion and unification (EU/UK/TR, future regions) into a single standardized model.
  • Snowflake cost/performance optimization(warehouse sizing, clustering, caching, pruning).
  • Data quality/observability: lineage in DataHub, SLAs/SLOs, anomaly detection, and alerting.
  • GDPR/PII controls: masking, access policies (RBAC), auditability.
  • ML enablement: curated feature tables and reliable batch/online inference paths via APIs.
  • Data microservices: support/extend services like order distribution with clean contracts and monitoring.
  • Connectivity & reliability across regions (e.g., EU⇄CN constraints), retries, back‑pressure, idempotency.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

Track record of curiosity and self‑directed development in adjacent disciplines—entrepreneurship, business administration, product, UX, machine learning, and human behavior/psychology—is a strong plus.

Qualification and experience:

  • Experience: 2–4+ years in data engineering or DWH development.
  • Tech: strong SQL & Python; Airflow; Snowflake (or similar cloud DWH); Git/JIRA/Confluence.
  • Plus: BI modeling exposure (Looker), ELT patterns, basic API development.
  • Soft skills: clear communication, ownership, quality mindset; can turn ambiguous asks into stable data solutions.
