Requirements
We are looking for a skilled DBA with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL / Oracle and AWS database services. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, optimizing, and evolving scalable database platforms, working with large datasets, automation, and infrastructure, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize Oracle / PostgreSQL databases.
Plan and execute version upgrades, schema changes, and data migrations across environments.
Work with large datasets (terabytes of data) and design solutions for high availability.
Implement database automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are architected and validated in the cloud.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL database administration (installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting).
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience with AWS services.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools ( Terraform, CloudFormation).
Scripting experience for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
Nice to Have
Exposure to database monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Experience with database performance optimization and query tuning.
Experience managing large-scale, high-transaction databases.
