We founded ZenBusiness in 2017 to provide an all-in-one platform for entrepreneurs and small business owners to start, run, grow, and manage business compliance. We offer services like LLC formation, registered agent services, operating agreements, EIN acquisition, and automated reminders for state and federal filing deadlines. Our platform combines AI with customer support to help with compliance management, document access, and business insights. We serve clients in all 50 states and the District of Columbia from our Austin, Texas headquarters. We’ve helped over 850,000 entrepreneurs.

We build our platform using technologies like React, Node.js, and Python, and our app helps manage business finances. In 2024, our front-line customer service team received a Silver Stevie® Award. We were also a finalist for the Greater Austin Business Awards and recognized as the #4 fastest-growing Longhorn business. Ross Buhrdorf and Shanaz Hemmati are our co-founders.

Our mission is to help entrepreneurs start, run, grow, and stay compliant, so small business owners can succeed doing what they love. We believe everyone should have the chance to own a business. As a Public Benefit Corporation, we’re dedicated to creating an equitable future for business owners. Since 2020, we’ve given over $700,000 in grants to small businesses and partner with the Accion Opportunity Fund. We also support organizations that address inequality and promote entrepreneurship. Women make up nearly 50% of our employees and leadership.

We are a fully remote company with our headquarters in Austin, Texas, and team members located across the United States. We have between 501-1000 employees. Our teams collaborate across product management, engineering, design, research, marketing, and analytics.
