Job description
Company Overview
At Zuora, we do Modern Business. We’re helping people subscribe to new ways of doing business that are better for people, companies and ultimately the planet. It’s an approach resulting from the shift to the Subscription Economy that puts customers first by building recurring relationships instead of one-time product sales and focuses on sustainable growth. Through our leading expertise and multi-product suite, we are transforming all industries and working with the world’s most innovative companies to monetize new business models, nurture subscriber relationships and optimize their digital experiences.
The Team & Role
You will be part of a growing HR team based in India, supporting Zuora’s India site and playing a key role in shaping the employee experience locally while partnering closely with global HR teams. Our team sits at the heart of the employee journey, ensuring that people processes are seamless, responsive, and delivered with care.
This is an exciting time to join Zuora. As the organization continues to grow and evolve, employee experience and the ability to build high-performing teams are critical to our success. This role directly contributes to that mission by ensuring HR operations run smoothly, service levels are consistently met, and employees feel supported throughout their lifecycle at Zuora.
As an HR Analyst, you will work across teams, cultures, and functions, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR operations and shared services work. You will have opportunities to take ownership of processes, contribute to new initiatives, and help improve how we deliver HR services at scale.
The role also offers the chance to work with modern HR tools and explore the use of automation and AI to simplify processes and improve efficiency. If you are someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving ways of working, and making a real impact on employee experience, this role offers meaningful learning, growth, and visibility within a global SaaS organization.
This is a hybrid position, so you will work both remotely and in the office.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will contribute to the following initiatives, among others:

- Ensure high data integrity and compliance by maintaining complete, accurate, and audit-ready employee records in the HRIS.
Ensure Payroll Accuracy, Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Enable timely, error-free payroll outcomes by partnering with payroll teams and vendors to validate inputs such as attendance, leave, variable pay, and employee changes.
- Safeguard Zuora’s compliance posture by ensuring adherence to Indian labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, gratuity, etc.) across the employee lifecycle.
- Strengthen operational governance by managing HR vendors against SLAs and supporting internal and external audits with reliable documentation and data.
Deliver Seamless Employee Lifecycle Experiences
- Create a frictionless pre-onboarding and onboarding experience by owning documentation, background verification initiation, system access coordination, and new-hire readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally with IT, Payroll, and Workplace teams to ensure Day 1 success for every new hire.
- Ensure smooth, compliant, and timely offboarding outcomes, including full & final settlements, exit documentation, system deactivation, and statutory checks.
- Support compliant and well-governed contractor management, aligned with company policies and local regulations.
Drive HRIS Excellence & Data-Driven Insights
- Own day-to-day HRIS operations to ensure accurate workflows, clean data, and reliable reporting that leaders can trust.
- Partner with HRIS and payroll vendors to resolve system issues, improve workflows, and enhance automation.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by delivering monthly dashboards and insights on hiring, attrition, and people metrics.
- Establish and evolve clear HR operations processes and protocols, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
Enhance Employee Experience & Engagement
- Contribute to a positive and responsive employee experience by providing timely, accurate guidance on policies, benefits, leave, and HR processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, HR programs, and internal communications that strengthen Zuora’s culture.
- Collaborate closely with HRBPs and global HR teams to ensure seamless, consistent process delivery across regions.
Lead Continuous Improvement & Operational Maturity
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that streamline HR operations, reduce manual effort, and improve turnaround times.
- Build and maintain HR dashboards, MIS reports, and compliance trackers to improve visibility and accountability.
