Job Description
Experian Consumer Services (ECS) Mobile Teams offers a mobile developer role with a startup feel. Our products help consumers and businesses make decisions. We pride ourselves on not only a feature-rich, stable mobile native application, but also always giving an opportunity to explore and use the latest technologies for the platforms. This is enabled by a customer base that enjoys using the newest hardware and software improvements released by the device manufacturers. Come join a high-performing team, known for its collaboration not only between the native platforms, but also with web and backend teams. You will report to the Sr. Software Development Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Android application development using primary Kotlin, but need to be familiar with Java.
- Experience with the Android framework.
- You have a background implementing MVVM architecture in Android applications.
- Familiarity with third-party libraries such as RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs with Android applications.
- Understand Android UX and work with the design team to ensure UI designs are aligned with the current Android UI guidelines.
- Proficient in writing Kotlin code for all new development, with experience working in Java.
- Understand how to mock and provide end-to-end coverage for API components.
- Have experience working with large code bases, working with a shared REST API library, and writing unit tests.
- Can create rich user interactions using Jetpack components like navigation and transitions.
- Experience with offline storage, background processing, threading, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Experience with a data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
