Job description
Mito Digital is a business unit of Mito Group, a unique powerhouse of creative & digital experts with a passion for clever things. We have been working with our clients around the globe for more than ten years in numerous industries, from aviation through lottery and retail to telecommunications. Our goal is to design and deliver human-centered, best-in-class digital solutions that meet and exceed the business goals of our clients as well as the demands of their clients.
Join our iLottery Team, where we deliver high-stakes, high-impact solutions for major players in Hungary and beyond. We’re counting on your Business Analyst skills to keep our lucky streak going, at least for the next two years.
If analysing difficult concepts never seems difficult for you, where business sees a problem, you see a solution, and before someone says ‘plan’, you have the list of tasks ready, we have a job for you!
Your tasks will be:
- Documenting, analysing, and prioritising detailed business requirements based on users’ and business needs. In the meantime, we promise not to forget about your needs.
- Supporting and maintaining a diligent document management system and corresponding policies. You’ll need to be the king and queen of documentation, ensuring its appropriate use throughout the business unit.
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement (as well as for great lunch places), and developing and implementing solutions.
- Maintaining continuous customer communication throughout the specification and development phase by working your magic. It will be your job to translate client needs into technical and functional specifications for the team.
- Gathering and deciphering information and mapping out client business needs – a.k.a. diagnosing the business problem. This includes leading workshops and drawing out requirements from stakeholders at every level (yes, even the quiet ones). We’ve got every resource you need in-house, from subject-matter experts to fine-tuned methods, processes - and of course, coffee.
- Being a gentle but firm helping hand by guiding clients and colleagues toward the right direction for the project. Don’t worry, you will be given the compass.
- Overseeing complex solutions by holding all the aces. You will need to be ready to reign and handle multiple threads, and process several pieces of information from different sources.
We need you to have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A few years of hands-on experience as a business analyst, ideally on software development projects, especially web-based solutions.
- The knowledge of how to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, and you’ve seen what it takes to make ideas work in real-life development environments.
- Great ability to produce high-quality documents on tight deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with Google business tools and apps, as well as Atlassian (Atlas Scouring for travel destinations doesn’t count).
- Solution- and result-oriented attitude with good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent level of English and Hungarian (you will be in touch with native folks).
- Availability for a fixed-term/maternity cover position for the next 2 years.
We’ll be exceptionally happy if you…
- are familiar with different PM or BA methodologies (PMI-PBA, IREB CPRE, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall – sadly, still not travel destinations).
