Our AI-driven platform targets critical areas like revenue cycle management, pharmacy operations, and care transitions, supporting healthcare professionals by streamlining critical processes such as prior authorizations, claims processing, discharge planning, and more.

This position will ideally be based out of our office in New York City on a hybrid basis, but we are open to remote.

About the Job

As a Business Development Lead (Pharmacy & Technology) at Ascertain, you will be responsible for driving Ascertain’s growth in the hospital pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) sectors. This role requires a highly motivated professional with domain expertise in health system pharmacy, pharmacy management systems, PBMs, and interoperability standards, as well as a strong background and interest in technology and enterprise software go-to-market. You will focus on developing strategic relationships, identifying and closing new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Business Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the pharmacy ecosystem (health system pharmacies, PBMs, etc.). Develop and manage a sales pipeline, focusing on revenue cycle, transitions of care, and pharmacy systems. Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Domain Expertise & Consultative Selling: Leverage your expertise in health system pharmacy, PBMs, and revenue cycle to position Ascertain’s AI solutions effectively. Communicate technical and operational benefits to prospective customers. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure customer needs are met and incorporated into solutions and campaigns.
  • Market Presence & Representation: Represent Ascertain at industry events and conferences. Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential customers.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of proven track record in technology and/or enterprise software sales, particularly in healthcare or pharmacy-related sectors.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Understanding of pharmacy benefits management companies, pharmacies, and their operational workflows.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards, revenue cycle operations, and pharmacy management systems.

Salary Range:

  • $110,000 - $180,000 base salary, depending on previous experience and alignment with role expectations.
